Planning and Inspections

The Planning & Inspections/Community Development Department is responsible for planning and zoning and building inspection activities in the City which include administration of the zoning regulations and for carrying out the objectives of the Mound Comprehensive Plan.  The Building Official position in charge of building inspection services is provided by MnSpect, located in Waconia. 

The Community Development Department is also responsible for coordination of Mound's redevelopment efforts, including project coordination and management activities associated with the Mound Harbor District improvements.  The Community Development Department is also responsible for reviewing and processing land use and subdivision applications.
