Recent statements have been made online by persons formerly associated with the City of Mound that have discriminatory content and impacts individuals and the community. Discriminatory content based on race, color, creed, age, religion, national origin, marital status, disability, sex, sexual orientation, familial status, status with regard to public assistance, local human rights commission activity, or any other basis protected by law is unacceptable, goes beyond the City’s values and policies, and has no place in our community. The matter is currently under review by City staff and the City Attorney. As a community, we can work together to ensure all members of our community live their lives with dignity, free of discrimination.
