Public Utilities & Licensed Providers The City of Mound provides services for water, sewer, stormwater and a contracted residential recycling program. Other utilities are owned and operated by other organizations.
Water, Sewer, Stormwater & Residential Recycling Operated by and through the City of Mound. The City of Mound contracts with Republic Services to recycling collection. Hennepin County Drop-off Facilities Hennepin County has two year-round drop-off facilities available for residents to drop off and get rid of recycling, electronics, appliances, and household hazardous waste. Garbage & Commercial Recycling Garbage & Commercial Recycling services must be provided by a licensed hauler that has been licensed with the city. Click HERE for the list of licensed haulers.

Organics Recycling/Leaf Drop Off Site Organics Recycling Program The city offers a drop off site (5341 Maywood Road) for organics recycling. Leaf Drop Off Site - Free to Mound Residents with ID The city partners with The Mulch Store (4275 Creekview Circle, Minnetrista, MN) for the free dumping of leaves, weeds, garden waste, and grass/lawn clippings. Mound residents must show a picture ID to avoid paying a fee.
Electric Utility Electric utility services are provided to the City of Mound by Xcel Energy.
Gas Utility Gas utility services are provided to the City of Mound byCenterpoint Energy.
